This job requires an enthusiastic, high energy individual who likes both the details involved in planning an event and the interpersonal skills required to execute the event. The job entails research, development, planning and execution of resort special events and activities such as snowboard competitions, family fun days and Seniors’ week.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the creation of resort special events
- Assist with the development of creative concepts for event materials (t-shirts, posters, programs, etc.)
- Assist with sponsorship fulfillments
- Internal communication of events
- Transportation, set up and tear down of event equipment
- Assist in continuous training and guidance of volunteer crew
- Event M/C as required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Outgoing and friendly personality with a commitment to exceed guest expectations at all times
- Hard working team player able of physical work in all weather conditions
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Skiing or snowboarding at an intermediate level or higher
- Computer literate
- Previous event experience and/or on mountain experience an asset
