Reporting to the Director of Sales & Marketing, the Marketing & Communications Manager will provide oversight and day to day management of property level marketing and communication initiatives, demonstrating an eye for detail, a passion for exceeding standards and targets, and the ability to produce results. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Responsible for management of all social media platforms, guiding and monitoring hotel and spa social media accounts
• Copy writing and editing of hotel materials, including but not limited to menus, hotel signage and amenity cards
• Develops and maintains media contacts and plans press activities. Liaises with media to promote good publicity and counteract any negative publicity
• Creates, writes and distributes press releases and communications including press pitches to targeted media, as well as follow up strategies.
• Assists in the development of packages for Digital Marketing and works with DOSM, DORO and Digital teams to determine target audiences.
• Responsible for managing digital photo fulfilment and access HMEP (proprietary Company data base)
• Participates in photography for advertising and social media purpose in liaison with the DOSM, DORO and Regional Sales Offices.
• Works with the DOSM, DORO and agency on rooms and local hotel advertising campaign creative and media plans
• Develops, coordinates, and executes production of all printed material in-house, following the specifications as stipulated in the Corporate ID Manual
• Under the direction of the DOSM, follows a strategic marketing plan in order to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual goals
• Coordinating with internal departments, organizes promotional activities, hotel sponsored events and community relations activities, to support and fulfil Marketing & Communications plans.
• Acts as an information center and as Brand Ambassador in collaboration
• Create graphic assets such as menus, flyers, print ads, supervising the production and quality of all collateral/signage
• Contributes to marketing components including: contracts, proposals, and scripting for site inspections, collaborating with Sales, Events, Spa and operational departments
• In collaboration with Regional Marketing and DOSM, prepares digital marketing plans focused on tactical campaigns, brand awareness, social innovation, loyalty program activation etc.
• Collaborate with corporate teams on implementation of brand initiatives
• Develop and manage partnerships to drive revenue goals and align with brand initiatives
• Working alongside the DOSM & Events Team, executes client entertainment, marketing programs, trade shows and familiarization trips
• Undertake other ad hoc related responsibilities, as required

Responsibilities & Qualifications

• Knowledge of: Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, iMovies or Final Cut Pro is an asset.
• Previous experience in digital media and design is required for this role
• Background in hotel marketing is strongly preferred
• Post-secondary education in a commensurate field of study is preferred

Salary/Wage

70K - 80K
