Peachland Chamber of Commerce

About Us

Peachland Chamber of Commerce encourages and strengthens business activity through the collective actions of its members for the benefit of the community in support of arts, culture and enhancement the tourism economy.

The mandate of the organization is to work in partnership with the District of Peachland using both the Official Community Plan and the Sustainable Downtown Plan as guiding documents to support the economic and social well-being of the community. The District of Peachland purchased the Peachland Primary School, which nurtured young minds for over 90 years, from School District #23. The plan being to repurpose the building as a centerpiece of the community’s current primary industry – tourism – through the enhancement of arts, culture, and youth. Currently, the Peachland Chamber of Commerce, Peachland Visitor Centre, The Legends of the Lake Interpretive Centre, Peachland Art Gallery and Peachland Boys and Girls Club are all community organizations housed in the historic building.  Over the years, the tourism industry has evolved to include the term Cultural Tourism, due to the changing demographic in North America as well as a growing demand to combine opportunities to learn about local history and culture. Although Peachland and surrounding areas have significant tourism assets (weather, wineries, golf, Lake Okanagan, natural scenery) our organization is embracing the past to create a cornerstone for a diverse and successful tourism economy for our region.
