Live events and meetings have made a comeback and we are on the hunt for eager AV technicians of all skill levels and specializations (Lighting, Audio, Video, Broadcast) . We have our lights and cameras ready, all we need is for YOU to join in on the action.  Our AV Technicians focus on Audio, video and lighting engineering and the role involves the set-up, operation and dismantling of the equipment as well as shop and equipment maintenance responsibilities. We provide our expert services to the nation’s most exciting virtual, in-person and hybrid events ranging from concerts, sporting, festivals, trade shows, and galas, to conferences and equipment rentals. We deliver events far and wide across Canada and the USA.

What you will have the opportunity to do:

• Set-up, operation and dismantle of AV equipment

• Troubleshoot technical issues and resolve problems quickly as they arise

• Liaise with internal team to develop solutions for audio/video/lighting configurations in order to meet project requirements

• Provides an exceptional customer service experience to clients and/or venue staff

• Loading and unloading of equipment from trucks or trailers

• Driving company vehicles and operating equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.

• Assist in the prep and de-prep of equipment and provide general warehouse support

• Ensure proper storage, transportation and maintenance of equipment

• Complete required paperwork and data entry in a timely and accurate manner

• Other duties as required

To be successful in this role you:

• Have 1+ years of audio visual experience within live events

• Preference will be given to those candidates with experience in corporate events

• High school education required and an AV technical education is preferred

• Have a valid class 5 BC drivers license and have reliable transport

• Are physically fit, safety-minded and able to lift up to 50 lbs

• Have the ability to be flexible in working hours and be available to work outside of regular business hours

• This role is focused on servicing our hotel properties within Kelowna

• Competitive hourly Wage

• Involves physical labour and the requirement to work in different event venues and locations both indoor and outdoors in environments that are often loud and bright.
