Shambhala Music Festival is looking for Bus Drivers to join our team for the 2022 festival! These positions run from July 17-26, and will be required to work on the festival site near Salmo, BC.
Successful candidates will provide friendly and timely transportation for guests and their baggage between designated parking areas and tent camping areas.
Responsibilities Include:
• Drive the shuttle between the designated pick up and drop off areas, transporting as many patrons as is safe
• Communicate to patrons, with the assistance of the Traffic Control staff, the approximate arrival/departure times of the shuttle
• Execute and display the Shambhala spirit of love, magic, and welcome at each point of contact in a warm and friendly way
• Identify what is a safe number of people to transport on each trip and do not exceed this amount.
• Report any equipment down time to the Traffic Control Manager immediately to prevent any potential level of service issues
• Work with the Traffic Control staff to identify times when backlogs might occur to coordinate potential additional shuttles
Qualifications Include:
• Must be able to drive vehicles with a standard transmission
• Class 1 or 2 driver’s license
• Experience providing customer service is preferred
• Experience working or volunteering at festivals or other major events is preferred
• Capable of providing a friendly environment, which includes greeting and acknowledging every customer and maintaining outstanding customer service standards
• Shows caution and discretion when operating site vehicles around patrons and other staff to avoid any injuries or property damage
• Comfortable working early mornings or late nights and outdoors in potentially unfavorable weather while maintaining a positive demeanor
