Job Description:

Job Summary:
The Operations
Manager will work with a team of operations and custodial staff to ensure that
all details relating to Heritage Park events are organized pre, post and during
events.     

 Key Responsibilities:
The Operations Manager plays an integral
role in managing events and staff at Heritage Park. This management position
requires a person that can work in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment,
who possesses exceptional written, verbal and communications skills, as well as
great team building skills. 

Operational Responsibilities include:

  •  Event
    logistics
  • Team
    member staffing and deployment
  • Maintaining
    and developing all event related details and staffing schedules
  • Assist
    with building services responsibilities
  • Assist
    with any other duties as required or assigned

 Working conditions:

  • Must
    be able to work in inclement weather as Chilliwack Heritage Park is an indoor
    and outdoor facility
  • Evening
    and weekend shifts will be required
  • Must
    be able to stand for long periods of time
  • Must
    be able to walk long distances
Job Requirements/Qualifications:

 Qualifications & experience:

  • Grade 12 completion or equivalent
  • At least 2 years in relevant service and management experience
  • Basic building services experience
  • Excellent written, verbal and non-verbal communication skills
  • Positive, can-do attitude
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, evening and weekend work required
  • Valid BC driver’s license
  • Functional computer skills
  • Event industry knowledge is an asset
