Come join our leadership team at Eagle’s Eye Restaurant, Canada’s Most Elevated Dining Experience, located at Kicking Horse Mountain Resort! You are an enthusiastic leader with exceptional communication skills who has a passion for the mountain lifestyle. Working under the direction of our Food & Beverage Manager, you will be responsible for execution of the menu, ordering, food preparation and more to ensure a safe, fun environment for our kitchen staff.

·         You will:

o   Be an advocate for health and safety, ensuring a clean and safe working environment.

o   Perform menu planning and ordering in an effective, efficient and timely manner.

o   Ensure food is received, stored, handled and prepared in a hygienic and Food Safe compliant manner.

o   Plan and develop catered events, weddings, wine dinners, special functions, etc.

o   Recommend and implement changes to achieve objectives, based on detailed knowledge of business unit’s capabilities.

o   Maintain effective communications through restaurant, department and resort.

o   Represent Kicking Horse Mountain Resort to suppliers, sponsors and business representatives in a professional and ethical manner.

o   Report on and evaluate successes and shortfalls at the end of each season.

o   Assist in the development of well-skilled employees to promote career advancement.

o   Perform other duties as assigned.

·         You:

o   Have previous resort restaurant supervisory experience.

o   Hold a minimum of 5 years culinary experience with leadership responsibilities.

o   Have completed Food Safe certificate Level 1 (required) and Level 2 (an asset).

o   Hold a Red Seal certificate – an asset, not requirement.

o   Have a comprehensive knowledge of fine food, wine and service.

o   Have extensive customer service and people management experience.

o   Possess a current Occupational First Aid (OFA) Level 3 or Outdoor Emergency Care (OEC) certification with Automated External Defibrillator (AED) or Entonox training – an asset.

o   Are physically capable of working extended shifts, standing for prolonged periods and working at high altitude.

o   Are reliable and have excellent communication and teamwork skills.

o   Have worked within the Resort industry – an asset.
