POSITION OVERVIEW:
Organize and motivate a team of up to 4 to achieve all Front Desk/ Guest Services goals within the lodge and rooms.
Work with the Guest Services team to ensure strong customer relations and high standards of service are being upheld throughout the lodge, and staff accommodations.
Ensure all staff performing Guest Services functions are trained and supported in understanding the expectations of technique, quality, efficiency and safety.
Responsible for retail inventory tracking and communicating with the General Operations Manager when applicable.
Ensuring compliance with quality and financial standards including Keys, Safe and Cash Handling policies are being executed
Administers and enforces all company personnel and operating policies/procedures including emergency plans.
Responsible for inventory yield management, guest relationships and reservations.
Maintains positive and productive communication with other departments, including Housekeeping, Food & Beverage and Guiding, to ensure seamless customer service
Exercises good leadership skills, sound decisions, delegation of duties, fair treatment of employees; motivates and sets standards by example.
Responsible for the development and execution of organizational systems for all guest services areas, storage, and equipment.
Oversee that all scheduled and unexpected tasks are completed on a daily basis.
Support General Operations Manager in ensuring all guest facing areas are held the highest standard of service
Continuously seek and make improvements to the overall Guest Services functions.
Attend weekly L10 and Same Page meetings on behalf of the Guest Services Team.
Special projects as outlined by the General Operations Manager.

Starting Wage and Compensation:
$22 per hour
Hourly based share of Heather Mountain Lodge Tip Pool
Housing is a shared room with 1 other employee and shared washroom with up to 4 employees
Term: June 1st 2023 to September 23rd 2023
Location: Heather Mountain Lodge is located 45 minutes west of Golden, BC and 75 minutes east of Revelstoke, BC Google Maps Location
Front Desk/Guest Services experience in a hotel preferred
Supervisory/Management experience preferred
Retail experience is an asset
Previous experience with Opera Cloud, Property Management System is an asset
Strong computer skills, ex; Gmail, Google docs and sheets, Monday.com, Sales Force
First Aid certification is an asset
Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Strong solution based thinking ability
Understanding of yield management and lodge/resort financials
Strong reporting and analysis skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to work under pressure

Heather Mountain Lodge is a full service, off the grid mountain lodge. Our location is 55 kms west of Golden on the eastern edge of Glacier National Park (GNP) and close to the Rogers Pass National Historic Site. We operate in the summer with hiking and mountaineering programs into GNP. In the winter, we operate as Great Canadian Heli-skiing with packaged heli ski adventures right out of the lodge. We have an amazing culinary program and welcome guests from all over the world.
