Golf Course Maintenance
Storey Creek Golf Club is currently seeking highly motivated individuals to join our team for the upcoming 2023 golf season. These positions are suited for motivated and responsible team players who enjoy physical work in a great outdoor environment.
Storey Creek is consistently rated as one of the top courses in the province. In 2017 we were rated as the 5th best value in Canada by Score Golf and the best value in BC. In 2021 we were awarded the 58th Best Public Access Facility in Canada.
Positions available are:
· 1 Irrigation Technician. The Irrigation Technician will be an integral part of the turf care team and will assist the Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent and 2nd Assistant in ensuring that both our members and guests expectations are exceeded. This is a full-time year-round position. Rate of pay is $25.00 to $27.50 per hour dependent on qualifications. The irrigation position includes extended health and dental plan (employee pays 1/3) and a work clothing allowance.
Typical tasks include: Sprinkler & pipe repairs, installation of new valves, routinely check sprinklers for performance, hand watering of greens, tees & approaches, assist with on course maintenance when required.
· 3 Full Time Groundskeepers. These positions would be well suited to university students and would be 8 hours per day, 5 days per week. These positions would start late April to mid May and go through late August / early September. Rate of pay is $19.00 per hour.
Typical tasks include: Bunker maintenance, range picking, mowing various areas, weed eating and course cleanup.
· 1 Part Time Tee Service. This position would be well suited for a physically fit semi-retired individual. This position will be 4 to 5 hours per day, 3 days per week. Rate of pay is $18.00 per hour.
Tasks required of this position would be filling tee divots, sorting recycling and cleaning the on-course washrooms.
Previous golf course experience and knowledge is an asset but is not required.
