GUEST SERVICES JOB DESCRIPTION
HOURS OF WORK
Our hotel is 24 hour 7 days a week operation with distinct high and low business seasons. High business levels during the summer and winter summer & low season business levels during the spring and fall. We endeavor to accommodate all staff members work-life balance. We ask that you are available for full time work during our high season, and you can take opportunities to take time-off or work reduced hours during our low season. Consistent & predictable work schedules are our goal; however, you may be required to work morning, evening, and nights shifts.
GUEST SERVICES OVERVIEW
As the central person of the guest experience, you are the heart of all customer interactions. You help guide your guests with your knowledge of the hotel amenities and our community. You are not just a hotel host; you are a host of our community of Revelstoke. You are kind, patient, and welcoming person with your guests. Your professionalism, mindful personality is first.
You curate and balance relationships every day. Helping the workplace become a strong community orientated team while assisting the General Manager with their duties and reporting. Your role as a supervisor is your next step in your career with us, and we hope that you will grow and expand with us as our companies grow and expand and carry your knowledge to our future teams.

You need to be prepared for a physical working environment with walking, stair climbing, bending, reaching, lifting (up to 50 pounds with assistance) required.
GUEST SERVICES DUTIES
o Greet all guests arriving or departing
o Use all reporting tools to balance and predict hotel occupancy and housekeeping priorities
o Demonstrate a positive attitude and good communication skills to ensure that a high level of customer service is given to each guest
o Ensuring guest satisfaction with prompt and friendly service
o Complete reservations and check in check out with our point-of-sale system
o Help guests explore Revelstoke with your breadth of knowledge of local activities, restaurants, and local history
o Answer phones, emails and direct guests with accurate information Label, date, and rotate food stock
o Deliver items to guest rooms
o Keep a clean and safe environment
o Help curate our Community Experience program with your supervisor
o We encourage you to participate in community volunteering or non-profit board membership
COHORT & HOTEL DUTIES
o Ensure the security, safety & initiate the emergency procedures of the hotel.
o Conduct daily shift hand-off briefings
o Coordinate scheduling & reporting
o Reply to all guest reviews
o Enact brand standards
o Educate and coach team members
o Support housekeeping & breakfast staff
o Coordinate supplies and ordering
o Ensure efficient systems are implemented and reviewed like check lists and staff scheduling
o Curate our Community Experience Program
o Use reporting tools to enhance and suggest operational enhancements
o Have fun at work and help your cohort to be their best selves
o Wear issued uniforms or wear business attire while on shift as directed by company policy
o Seek out learning opportunities and professional development
o Represent the workplace with positivity while interacting with our community and on social media
