Job Description:

Do you love the outdoors? Join our Team on the Juan de Fuca Trail! 

Spend the summer hiking and working on the Juan de Fuca Trail- this is a dream job! We are hiring a Park Attendant for the summer to ensure the park is safe, clean and functional for all visitors. Duties include trail maintenance, pit toilet cleaning, garbage collection, fee collection, and customer service.  

We offer accommodation in a trailer on site at China Beach. There is an opportunity to stay on site during the days you work or for the season.  

Performance bonuses are offered if contract for the season is completed. Be part of the beautiful BC Parks and our team! 

Job Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Valid Drivers License (Drivers Abstract)
  • Criminal Record check for Vulnerable Sector (upon hiring)
  • First Aid Certification (OFA) an asset
  • Experience performing landscaping duties in back country setting and use of equipment
  • Cash handling experience and fee collection (will be trained)
  • Local knowledge an asset
  • Ability to perform physical duties up to 8 hours per day and lift 50 pounds
  • Good public relations and communication skills
  • Positive, cooperative and self-motivated
  • Reliable and trustworthy
Recommended Training:

  • Salary/Wage: $20 per hour
