Salt Spring Adventure Company is looking to hire 3 Level One Kayak Guides this summer. We are a local company that aims to educate and inspire our clientele with top notch kayaking trips around our Gulf Island. 

In peak season, you could be leading 1 – 3 tours a day, 4-5 days a week. You would share your knowledge of local history, flora/fauna and recommendations of things to do whilst on Salt Spring. You also would serve basics like hot chocolate/tea/cookies on our 3 hour tours. We offer competitive wages before tips and include great perks such as discounts and standby tours for friends and family.

You would also get to live on Salt Spring Island which has lots of fun things to see and do! Our farmers markets are always teeming with delicious treats and fun gifts. There are countless breweries/cideries/wineries on the island. And lots of places to hike and explore. 

Our ideal candidate is:

Our ideal candidate would also have these certificates:

• A Level One Sea Kayak Guides Alliance of British Columbia (SKGABC) certificate
• Basic CPR/First Aid
• VHF Maritime Radio Operator certificate

If you don't have these certificates yet but would be willing to get them, we would be happy to discuss a way to make that happen. 

• Salary/Wage: $17.00 - $22.00
