Job Requirements
This is a hybrid position to assist in both the housekeeping and maintenance departments and hours will be dependent on operational needs.
Maintenance:
- Perform daily checklist pertaining to preventative maintenance of the hotel while adhering to trade standards and codes
- Perform Summit Preventative Maintenance (Suprema) on a scheduled basis
- Ensure appliances and electrical equipment are in working order
- Refurbish and paint furniture and fixtures within guest rooms
- Repair in-house machinery and equipment
- Resolve issues pertaining to in-house guests in a courteous and timely manner
- Maintain the upkeep of the hotel such as sweeping parking area, winter snow clearing, minor landscaping, painting, and resealing floors
- Daily maintenance of pool and hot tub
- Keep track of maintenance inventory such as appliances or operating supplies
- Report general maintenance issue to the Maintenance Manager
Houseperson:
- Perform a variety of cleaning duties in public areas such as vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and polishing
- Remove linens and trash from departed rooms, housekeeping carts, and public areas
- Ensure garbage room is clean and free from obstructions
- Maintain cleanliness and security in public areas
- Remove carpet stains in the hallway
- Communicate with housekeeping department and front desk department regarding deliveries, guest requests, and room deficiencies prior to calling maintenance
- Refill and tidy up housekeeping inventory stock and linens in all storages
- Proper pool and hot tub closure during evening shift

Job Requirements/Qualifications:
Qualifications:
- Attention to detail with the ability to multi-task
- Must be flexible to work weekends and evenings
- Reliable attendance on scheduled workdays
- Must be able to adapt to change in policy and procedures as directed and offer suggestions to improve operations
- Able to accept criticism and opportunities for growth
- Able to work with minimal supervision
- Background in construction work or trade work preferred, but not necessary
- Previous maintenance experience and knowledge of mechanics, plumbing, electrical and painting an asset
- Some experience in pool chemistry a bonus, but not required. Training can be provided

$20 to $23 per hour, based on experience
