Kumsheen is looking for a Maintenance Operator to join our team of energetic, adventurous, and friendly staff. This is a great opportunity to work & live in one of the most beautiful areas in BC, at an incredible family-run adventure resort.

About the position:

The Maintenance Operator at Kumsheen works under the direction of the General Manager alongside the River Operation Managers and is responsible for the upkeep of the Resort’s facilities and maintenance equipment.  

Key responsibilities include:

• Regular inspection & maintenance of Resort buildings and equipment, including Pool & Spa equipment
• Keeping the workshop clean, organized and stocked
• Safe/proper use of equipment & supplies
• Regular communication with other Managers to ensure their maintenance needs are acknowledged
• Regular communication with General Manager/AGM to help prioritize job lists
• Manage a small team (1-2 maintenance workers or campground attendants)

The successful applicant will possess the following attributes:

• Team oriented but capable of working independently 
• Organized, with the ability to prioritize and carry out many tasks simultaneously
• Punctual and reliable
• Self-motivated
• Experience working with machinery, including power & hand tools
• Basic knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, electrical, drywall, HVAC, small engine repair, etc. an asset
• Sound knowledge of Health and Safety policies and procedures
• Job tracking & cost analysis skills are assets

• Salary/Wage: $23.75/hr, plus great perks!
