POSITION: Motion Graphics Artist & Video Editor, Game Entertainment

POSITION SUMMARY:

Canucks Sports and Entertainment (CSE)’s Game Entertainment team is seeking an enthusiastic, creative Motion Graphics Artist & Video Editor to create cutting-edge video content and graphics for all live games including Canucks, Warriors, and Titans. This person will be responsible for implementing a creative approach to content through a strong understanding of dynamic video creation, storytelling, and current trends in the industry.

A typical day includes:

• Developing, managing, and delivering high-quality and innovative video and motion graphics to live games and events at Rogers Arena
• Creating and updating templates with video and graphic elements for live game coverage
• Developing content that ties Vancouver Canucks, Warriors, and Titans back to current events, trending topics, and pop culture in a way that is relevant to teams’ brands and their fanbases
• Creating graphics in response to events in progress and developing video motion graphics on the fly to capture and deliver content in a timely fashion
• Contributing new ideas and executing exciting, fan-focused content including opens, headshots, pumpers, features, tributes, and skits
• Creating motion graphics for in-arena LED signage, ice projections, and other arena displays
• Contributing to putting on an amazing show for fans at Rogers Arena

• Expert abilities in Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premiere
• Expert editing abilities in Avid Media Composer
• Strong proficiency in other Adobe applications; Photoshop and Illustrator
• Proficiency in Cinema 4D
• Excellent knowledge of music and sound effects editing
• Strong creative mind with the ability to conceptualize and bring to life innovative content
• Ability to learn quickly and function well in the fast-paced environment mandated by professional sports
• Ability to work weekends and evenings as required by events
