OVERVIEW

The Porter will be assisting servers and bartenders with food and beverage duties as assigned by the floor manager to ensure a fast and timely service for both internal and external customers at Parq Vancouver.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·         Primarily delivering supplies throughout the second floor of the casino and Salons

·         Assisting bartenders at Center Bar with stocking the bar

·         Assisting servers with clearing tables and maintaining a clean and tidy environment for guests

·         Ensure the Porter station is stocked, cleaned and organized

·         Operate in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act

·         Maintain a positive work environment

·         Responsible for providing professional and superior customer service in accordance with established company standards

·         Greet all guests in a friendly and courteous manner

·         Perform other job-related duties, as directed by management

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

·         Ability to get along well with others in a team environment

·         Able to lift a minimum of 25 LBS

·         Able to stand for long periods of time

·         Committed to promoting a safe work environment

·         Excellent communication skills

·         Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task

·         Proven superior customer service experience

·         Flexible work schedule to accommodate operational needs of a casino environment

·         Friendly, outgoing and professional

·         Has a respectful approach and pleasant demeanor

·         Previous experience in a similar role

CERTIFICATE AND/OR LICENSE REQUIREMENTS

·         Valid GPEB License

·         BCLC Certifications

·         Serving it Right Certification

·         Food Safe Certificate 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

·         Able to lift, handle, and transport materials that are over 20lbs

·         Required to sit, stand and walk during working hours
