Role Proposition:

<span “:=”” “=””>Does the thought of flexible shifts in a stunning slope-side hotel sound appealing? We are looking to hire Prep Cook/Dishwashers for the upcoming winter. The Prep Cook / Dishwasher supports the operations of the culinary team by assisting in all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, health and safety, sanitation, and food storage. The environment is bustling as three (3) large kitchens within the property provide complete food and beverage services to our local, hotel and business guests. This role offers every opportunity to begin developing a career in the art of culinary, opening opportunities for advancement internally and externally throughout the Tourism / Hospitality industry. Accountabilities:

• <span “:=”” “=””>Responsible for washing all F&B service wares
• <span “:=”” “=””>Participates in food preparation and maintenance of storage areas
• <span “:=”” “=””>Responsible for the delivery of culinary and kitchen supplies
• <span “:=”” “=””>Assists in the rotation of food items and supplies
• <span “:=”” “=””>Ensures the highest standards of sanitation are met throughout the kitchen by following departmental standards

Ideal Candidate:

• Previous culinary experience/education while an asset is not required
• Holds a current Food Safe Level 1 Certification
• Works effectively within a team and recognizes when to provide support to other kitchen team members
• Basic understanding of kitchen operations
• Is self-disciplined with a sincere desire to provide an elevated guest experience
• Self-starts on tasks and can respond to varying business volumes as they relate to impacts on the kitchen
• Is physically capable of working in a fast-paced environment and safely lifting heavy loads of around 20kg

This role is eligible for an incentive for successful applicants to receive $1 per hour worked based on completion of a full winter season contract.  Conditions apply to this incentive and will be discussed in detail with successful applicants during the interview and at the job offer stage.
