The SWR is looking for a second and third team member to complete the maintenance crew. We are responsible to maintain the “plant” including the geothermal system, pool and hot tubs, in rooms, common areas and special projects.
We have a great team in a top-rated resort. This is your opportunity to feel proud of the job you do, put down roots and grow with the resort.
If you have chili making skills… that is an asset too. Maintenance has yet to win the annual cook-off :).
Previous experience in a hotel is a real asset, almost a requirement, but we are prepared to train the right attitude and commitment. What IS a requirement is general construction and maintenance skills. You need to know a little bit about everything. You need to be able to think on your feet, problem solve and think creatively. No two days are the same in maintenance.
The team works 7 days a week so you must be available on weekends. The team splits "on call" evening shifts in case of emergency. It doesn't happen very often but it can.
Email Steve, Chief Engineer, at engineer@summerlandresorthotel.com with a cover letter and resume. No phone calls or hand delivered resumes, please. Thank you for your interest. Only those chosen for interview will be contacted.

Summerland Waterfront Resort Hotel is located on a secluded stretch of Lake Okanagan shoreline offering an all-inclusive resort experience focused on fun and making memories. The resort's condo-style suites offer all of the amenities of home, but we've got better weather here. Over half of our Okanagan luxury resort accommodations and suites offer balconies for lakefront views, and all suites feature a full kitchen, fireplace, space to stretch out and entertain with family and friends. The interior of our luxury suites with their warm color schemes echo the location of our lakefront resort in Okanagan British Columbia.
