As the Restaurant Supervisor at Tyax Lodge & Heliskiing you will be an ambassador of the company, and you will be responsible the guest and staff well-being in our restaurant, lounge and patio. You will oversee the day operation, and assist the Food & Beverage Manager with weekly scheduling and overall department organization. The Restaurant Supervisor will also assist in staff training and ongoing coaching. This is a very hands on role that comes with the opportunity to develop leadership skills. Future succession to other roles will form part of the employment roadmap.

JOB HIGHLIGHTS:

• Perform duties of a server during breakfast, lunch and dinner service
• Provide in-depth knowledge of company’s products and services
• Responsible for maintaining a cheerful, courteous disposition and a neat, clean and professional image with the ability to maintain a calm demeanor in a fast paced, high intensity environment
• Ensuring that Tyax service standards are follow during each meal period
• Ensure daily, weekly and monthly cleaning duties are fulfilled as per requirements and training received, and follow up with the team as needed
• Ensure guest satisfaction and resolve customer complaints in an efficient and timely matter
• Assist the F&B Manager in inventory management
• Assist the F&B Manager in scheduling, staff training, development and coaching
• Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage
• Maintain set Health & Safety standards
• Managing restaurant sections and server allocations
• Using our reservations system to book, change and cancel dinner reservations
• Perform opening and closing duties of the restaurant
• Oversee server cashouts and rectify errors
• Operate according to the policies, procedures, quality standards and services established by the company
• Follow the regulations set forth by the B.C. Liquor Control and Licensing Branch

QUALIFICATIONS & ATTRIBUTES:

• High School Diploma
• Diploma or degree in hospitality management or tourism related field a strong asset
• Must have Serving it Right certificate or obtain prior to commencing employment
• Must have 3-4 years’ experience in hospitality industry with prior experience in leadership role
• Must have an excellent foundation in wine knowledge and fine dining experience
• Responsible and adaptable with a poised and friendly attitude
• Must have an outstanding attention to detail and the ability to multitask
• Honest and dependable
• Must be flexible in regards to scheduling and working shifts
• Must possess outstanding communications, interpersonal, organizational, leadership and customer service skills and be a team player
• Additional language skills are an asset 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Will be required to be on your feet for extended periods of time
• May be required to lift, bend and reach

• Salary/Wage: $21 - $23

Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
