Position: Retail Ecommerce & Systems Coordinator

Department: Retail

Reports to: Director, Retail Operations

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Retail Ecommerce & Systems Coordinator is responsible for driving the performance of our website, Vanbase.ca.  By working cross functionally with Digital Marketing, Brand, Content, and Operations teams, the Coordinator effectively supports day-to-day ecommerce projects and retail digital marketing.  This role also includes overseeing, alongside the IT department, the implementation of a new inventory system throughout our retail locations.

A typical day includes:

• Overseeing Vanbase.ca (powered by Shopify) merchandising, copy writing, photography, photo editing, and production of merchandise related content
• Assisting IT department in pre-season implementation, running, and troubleshooting of new inventory system (Yellow Dog) in all physical locations
• Developing, maintaining, and executing a site plan that includes product launches, marketing campaigns, seasonal key moments and promotional events, and regular content updates
• Managing SKUs based on inventory, price adjustments, promotions, and sales campaigns
• Overseeing ecommerce merchandising, ensuring proper taxonomy, filtering, and collection sorting
• Implementing and managing Shopify Apps and integrated technologies
• Providing business approvals for UAT of implemented technologies
• Making recommendations on site navigation, experience, and content
• Supporting Marketing with digital ads, CRM, and email marketing initiatives

YOU MUST HAVE:

• A degree or diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Science
• At least one year of experience in managing an ecommerce website
• Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), as well as HTML and CSS
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
• The ability to quickly learn internal systems, processes, and software and web-based applications
• Familiarity with retail and digital trends, technology, sports, and popular culture
• The ability to work well within a team to come up with creative solutions and identify new opportunities, often in a high-pressure, fast changing environment
• Great organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and outstanding time management skills
• The ability to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends
