Walnut Beach Resort is full-service strata resort with 112 guest rooms and suites located on Osoyoos Lake in the South Okanagan wine region.

JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for restaurant breakfast server(s), available to also work weekends, who is outgoing, friendly, and professional with flexible shifts from breakfast and lead into lunch service as the season evolves. Our Front of house team delivers exceptional food and drink while creating a unique experience for every one of our resort guests.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

•  Provide attentive and excellent guest service

•  Set up and tear down

•  Help maintain a clean and organized workplace

•  Be health and safety conscious and maintain a safe work environment

•  Complies with our policies and code of ethics

•  Other duties as assigned Job

REQUIREMENTS

•  Barista experience an advantage

•  Previous experience as Food & Beverage Server

•  Must be well-self-motivated, responsible, and organized

•  Have excellent communication and guest service skills

•  Possesses an eye for detail

•  Maintains a flexible schedule to accommodate the operational needs of a hotel environment and is available to work weekends

•  Must be able to carry up to 20 pounds

•  Must be able to lift, bend and reach

•  Must be able to stand for long periods of time

Job Duties:

Provide excellent customer service by taking orders, executing them efficiently, and building a rapport with the clientele. Engage with our guests, offering menu suggestions and being able to carry forward conversations.

Handle card and cash transactions, ensuring that all funds in the cash drawer are accounted for by the end of the shift. Clean and organize work areas throughout the shift.

Other duties as requested.

Experience:

Previous serving or bartending experience will be ideal but willing to train the right person

Barista experience an asset
