Shambhala Music Festival is now hiring a Site Manager to join our team for the 2022 festival season! This is a full-time, temporary position starting ASAP until the fall. The Site Manager will mainly work on the festival site near Salmo, BC, but some office days may be required for administrative work leading up to the event.

Responsibilities:

• Ensures that all public health standards are met for areas of food, water, air, waste, fire and lighting as well as all WorkSafe standards for all workers on site
• Prioritize and manage time lines of multiple existing and new projects and manage operating budgets for each year
• Provide guidelines for hiring and effective management of staff and develop a system for conducting training, discipline, and ensuring the welfare of all workers
• Conduct ongoing safety audits and emergency response drills
• Ensure direct teams are compliant with time keeping and attendance
• Attend daily Manager Meetings twice daily
• Communicate to Manager(s) extra duties to be carried out for the day (communicate with Supervisors)
• Complete daily log ensuring all records are maintained and provide reports to fellow managers and government agencies as required
• Compile and submit a kit list for the Site department
• Handle effective radio communications (will receive training on site)

Qualifications:

• Relevant experience in project management, team management, construction, maintenance or similarly related fields
• At least 2 years experience in the events industry (can be inclusive of the construction/project management experience)
• Ability to use, understand, and communicate effectively with various software programs, apps, and communications
