BASIC FUNCTION: 

Position is responsible for cleaning and maintaining Guest Rooms and public areas of TRIUMF House. 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Cleans and maintains Guest Rooms and public areas of TRIUMF house in a timely and organized manner.

• Monitors housekeeping inventory and reports any ordering needs in a timely manner. 

• Inspects/reports maintenance requirements. 

• Employs the highest standards of guest service. 

• Behaves in a friendly and courteous manner with guests and other staff. 

• Completes daily assignment sheets and reports to Reservations Office any difficulties with room services that day. 

• Organizes work according to room turnover and the demands of the rest of TRIUMF House. 

• Schedules work so that it is performed safely and with the least amount of disturbance to guests and staff.

• Reports any requests from guests to the Reservations Office in a timely and efficient manner. 

• Ensures outside of house is well maintained and clean and sidewalks and stairs are clear and safe.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: 

Good interpersonal skills. Ability to maintain positive working relationships with co-workers. The capacity to effectively communicate in English and follow instructions. Physically capable of performing housekeeping tasks.
