Head Repair Technician
You will work closely with the Rental and Retail leadership team to ensure a smooth, professional and profitable operation. You will be responsible for the quality control of all ski and board service & repairs, along with maintenance of machinery, tools and equipment. You also oversee the daily supervision of the Rental/Repair Team, along with the inventory and administration of shop tools and supplies. You will: Oversee procedures for Repair Shop products and services including ski/snowboard tuning, major repairs and machinery maintenance. Be an advocate for health and safety, ensuring a clean and safe working environment. Conduct ongoing training with Repair Shop staff to ensure consistent, quality repairs and service. Supervise the Repair staff to ensure high levels of efficiency and output with an emphasis on guest service and sales. Assist in staff scheduling, orientation, training, and delegation of tasks. Provide an exceptional level of customer service through direct interaction, sales and service. Assist guests with sizing and fitting of appropriate rental equipment for comfort and safety. Manage labor costs by assigning tasks and setting schedule for employees. Maintain inventory of shop tools and supplies. Maintain rental equipment and track maintenance history for gear. Ensure documentation for repairs is properly and completely processed, filed and archived. Perform other duties as assigned.

You: Have extensive experience with tuning and major repair of ski and snowboard equipment. Are familiar with Wintersteiger machine operation, including base grinder, stone grinder and ceramic disk edge finisher. Demonstrate basic knowledge of outdoor equipment, recreation, ski, or related retail shops. Have experience with ski and snowboard rentals, including waiver delivery and describing safe use of equipment. Are proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and Point of Sale (POS) applications. Have previous experience effectively managing or supervising a team. Are passionate about mountain culture, skiing/snowboarding, and the resort environment.
