Lift Operations Shift Lead
You have strong leadership skills and are an enthusiastic, integral member of our team. Working closely with the Lift Operations Team Lead, you ensure an efficient and professional Lift Operations team, acting as the daily ‘captain’, and taking charge when the Lift Operations Team Lead is absent. You prioritize safety and teamwork, while maximizing guest and employee experience. You take pride in providing our guests the best vacation and recreation experience possible.
You will: Lead daily crews and ensure that all Mountain Operations Attendants are ready to start their shift on time, in proper uniform and in condition to operate equipment safely. Provide direction or assistance to Mountain Operations team with guest service concerns or inquiries. Ensure maintenance and safety directives are adhered to and report any potentially unsafe conditions to the Mountain Safety or Mountain Operations Manager/Team Lead. Ensuring that proper incident reporting procedures are followed. Ensure coverage for all meal and/or ride breaks. Ensure all signage, ropes and gates are in place and maintained. Be familiar with all emergency procedures, able to remain calm and use quick judgment in the event of an emergency and deliver the procedures to ensure guest and staff safety. Be familiar with resort products and services. Comply with all safety regulations of assigned tasks, and ensure a clean and safe working environment with active participation in the health and safety program. Work extended & flexible shifts, including weekends, holidays and occasionally evenings, in extreme weather conditions on resort.

You: Have previous leadership experience in a customer service role. Have previous experience in an outdoor role, preferably within the ski industry. Are an intermediate to advanced ski/snowboarder. Have a mechanical aptitude or familiarity with chairlifts or similar equipment. Have first aid training or experience - an asset. Have a valid class 5 driver’s license - an asset. Must be physically able to stand and turn, lift up to 30 pounds, and assist adult and children on and off chairlift and/or assist guests with loading ski/snowboard equipment.
