About Us
Catching the Spirit 2005 is an outdoor environmental stewardship program designed for youth that takes place in the summer in three GVRD parks: Pacific Spirit Regional Park in Vancouver, Tynehead Regional in Surrey, and Kanaka Creek Regional Park in Maple Ridge.
The program involves camping, restoration projects, and patrolling the park; each providing a number of opportunities for career preparation credit as well as basic training in a variety of outdoor skills for grades 7-12.
