Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic and energetic person to join our staff on the beautiful Sunshine Coast of BC. You are:

• Knowledgeable about outdoor gear and able to assist clients in finding the right gear, trip or tour to suite their needs

This position is comprised of working as a snowshoe guide — as well working in our outdoor adventure store in a retail environment. If you are interested in cross country ski instruction — and possess or are willing to obtain your CANSI level 1 nordic instructor certification additional guiding time can be part of the position as well. Guiding will include:

Guiding snowshoeing day trips
Transporting clients in 4×4 Vehicles
Instructing cross country ski lessons (ideally- but not mandatory)

Opportunities for in-house professional training may be available. This position is available as of Oct. 2024. Experience working in an outdoor retail store setting is an asset. Guiding experience and certification- combined with retail experience is an ideal combination. This position may extend beyond the winter / spring season for a candidate wishing to work into the summer season.
