We are currently searching for an I.T. Assistant to join our team of hospitality professionals on a part-time basis. Reporting to the Director of Information Technology, the IT Assistant will assist in the implementation, maintenance, administration and delivery of support services to all technology users in the hotel, ensuring technology is used for optimum efficiencies, maximizing Colleague, Guest and Owner satisfaction. Job requirements will include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Analyze user needs, document, and follow the established Information Technology plan, as directed
- Continuously review user, and hotel needs to improve efficiency and service
- Provide training and support to all hotel users on hardware, software, networks and provide reasonable solutions to user challenges and concerns.
- Plan, install, configure and administer network devices; diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve communication, hardware and operating system problems, as directed
- Install system and software upgrades and monitor system security procedures, ensuring minimum downtime or inconvenience to users.
- Audit technology assets and maintain accurate, up-to-date inventory of all products, warranties and licenses
- Install new technology assets and install software per Company standards.
- Undertakes daily tasks and other ad hoc related responsibilities, as required.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
- This role is a permanent part time role, working 1 – 2 days per week. Flexibility is required, based on operational need.
- The role may be ideal for students who are currently completing studies in Information Technology, or for a parent who is only looking for part time work during the week.
- Previous hotel or hospitality experience is an asset.
- Minimum 2 years previous education and work experience in IT is preferred
- Full familiarity with Microsoft Office products. Certificate in Computer Engineering Technology Program is preferred
Salary/Wage
$31.16 per hour
