BARTENDER – HOWE SOUND BREWPUB

The Opportunity

Howe Sound Brewpub serves award-winning ales and lagers fresh from Howe Sound Brewery, Squamish’s original craft brewery. Our menu is full of house-made favourites & our chefs focus on freshness & unique flavours cooking with our beer, seasonal produce & local seafood. We are looking for an experienced, talented and expressive Bartender to provide memorable experiences to our guests. The ideal candidate will have a sincere passion for hospitality and service.

What You’ll Do:

• Engage with customers.
• Support the restaurant team in delivering an excellent experience for guests.
• Create memorable cocktails that are both classic and innovative.
• Open, pour and serve spirits, wines and beers.
• Take and fill drink orders in a timely manner.
• Ensure that licensing laws and health and safety matters are adhered to.
• Process payments.
• Set up and maintain cleanliness and condition of bar, bar unit, tables, and other tools.
• Order and restock bar with liquor and supplies.
• Count bank at end of shift and complete designated cashier reports.

Job Types: Full-time, permanent
Salary: $16.75/hour plus tips

Responsibilities & Qualifications

What You Have:

• 1+ years of experience in the same or a similar role
• Strong knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktails and ongoing trends
• Strong knowledge of wines, spirits and beers from different regions
• Serving it Right certification
• Able to handle complex situations in a timely and efficient manner
• Excellent team player
• Confident and professional with an engaging personality
• Experience with Point of Sale System
• Bartender course/training would be an asset
• Be fit and in shape

Salary/Wage

16.75/hour
