Classification: Technician I (Electrician)

Department: Arena Operations

Reports to: Manager, Engineering Services
POSITION SUMMARY:

Following specifications, the electrician will build, assemble, install, and repair electrical within the Arena. The electrician will also be responsible for providing expert project advice.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
(Other duties may be assigned as required)

-Implement a comprehensive preventative maintenance program relating to electrical components, controls, wiring, circuitry, fire alarm systems, security, and lighting systems
-Responsible for overall building services, including electrical contract maintenance services
-Perform repairs to scoreboards, clocks and, related control equipment as required
-Maintain and repair light fixtures, ballasts, electrical outlets and connections, fuses, breakers and related equipment
-Connect and disconnect power for all shows, special event requirements, and various day to day operations

Responsibilities & Qualifications

-7 to 10 years’ experience in the electrical field
-Journeyman Electrical TQ (B.C. & Inter-provincial)
-Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
-Ability to understand computer application, software, and control systems
-Strong background in automated building controls or equivalent combination of skills and experience
-Solid team player with a strong customer focus
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills
