Job Description

A Guest Services Agent/Night Auditor serves our guests efficiently, courteously and in a friendly and professional manner in accordance with the standards set by the company. They will maintain a high level of integrity, service and hospitality at all times. The Night Auditor is a key member of the Guest Services team responsible for the overnight operations of the Hotel, verifying the accuracy of guest accounts, balancing charges and revenues, as well as assisting with all aspects of guest services. As hospitality professionals, we need to ensure our guests receive consistent positive interactions.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Responsibilities:
-Ensure accounts are settled appropriately
-Run required reports
-Perform bucket checks
-Prepare express checkouts
-Process guest arrivals and departures, including all necessary payments
-Issue room keys while keeping guest’s security in mind
-Handle guests’ concerns and follow up
-Offer referral for services and local attractions
-Answer and direct all phone inquiries
-Program and record wake-up call requests
-Communicate between shifts passing on any pertinent information
-​Utilizes instinctive selling techniques and company sales programs to maximize revenue and occupancy levels
-Maintains order and cleanliness at the front desk
-Ensure compliance with all hotel policies, standards and core practices

Qualifications:
-Experience as a hotel Night Auditor is an asset
-Hotel front desk experience is an asset
-Post-secondary training in tourism or hotel management is an asset
-Excellent communication skills
-Professional attitude
-Good organizational skills
-Effective conflict management and decision-making
-Ability to use a variety of computer applications
-Cash handling experience
-Administrative skills
-Time management skills
-Knowledge of the facility, services and local area
-Must be able to legally work in Canada
-Required to work weekends & holidays.
