IN ROOM DINING SERVER

Join our team as an In Room Dining Server and play a vital role in creating memorable connections with our guests and team members by ensuring that guests receive exceptional service and convenience when dining in their rooms, contributing significantly to their overall satisfaction during their stay.

What your day will look like:
• Greet guests warmly and create a welcoming atmosphere.
• Connect with guests and customers to understand how to enhance their dining experience and increase revenue/use suggestive selling techniques to enhance the dining experience and increase revenue.
• Take orders accurately and answer any questions about the menu and offer recommendations and provide information about daily specials.
• Address guest concerns and ensure their satisfaction throughout the dining experience.
• Enter orders into the POS system accurately, ensuring special requests or dietary restrictions are communicated to the kitchen and verifying with the guest both the order, room number, and time it will be delivered by.
• Coordinate with the kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate delivery of food orders.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

• Must have Serving it Right and Food Safe Level 1 Certification.
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the menu, including ingredients and preparation method and food and alcoholic beverages.
• Be prepared to explain menu items, including potential allergens and dietary options.
• Skillfully recommend additional items such as appetizers, desserts, or specialty drinks.
• Recommend wine pairings, offers fresh items in season and sells in accordance to Chefs recommendations.
• Deliver orders to guest rooms promptly, maintaining professionalism and ensuring food is presented attractively.
• Handle meal presentation with care, ensuring it matches the guest’s order and expectations.
• Accurately process guest payments, handling cash and credit card transactions and provide guests with itemized bills and process room charge payments efficiently.
• Maintain proper condition and cleanliness of in-room dining areas and servicing equipment and assist in general cleanliness of the Room Service Area.
• Remove trays and tables from guest rooms and hallways.
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines throughout all stages of services to maintain a hygienic and safe environment for guests and staff.
• Listen to guest feedback and address any concerns promptly and professionally and escalate complex issues to the appropriate management personnel.
• Ensure station and order set-ups are complete and perform various side duties as assigned by the F&B Manager.
• Must be eligible to work in Canada. Valid Work or Study Permits – 1 Year Minimum Validity.

Salary/Wage

$18.50-$20.15 per hour
