Job Description

The Crystal Lodge in the heart of Whistler village is looking for Front Desk Agents to join their team!

As the first in-person interaction our guests have with the hotel, the role of Front Desk Agent requires a personality of welcoming, friendly, enthusiastic and able to make meaning impact from the start of our guests stay. We strive to deliver on individual awesome Whistler experiences for every guest and our Agents truly know how to share the stoke of our beautiful town and what it has to offer!

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Whilst each guest interaction is different, there are core duties that the role of Front Desk Agent will complete as part of their daily activities and these include, but not limited to, the following:

Welcome guests to the hotel and provide a seamless check-in service that confirms the details of their stay, manages their expectations and provides a concierge service when required.
Preparation of arrival paperwork and allocation of rooms to meet any special requests.
Listen, handle and respond to guest concerns in a professional and effective manner, providing resolutions where possible, or escalating to a member of management.
Handle, arrange and store guest luggage when required.
Make new guest reservations over the phone and provide hotel specifications to ensure the appropriate room type is booked.
Complete check-out duties in a timely manner which include completing and posting applicable charges, confirming payment methods and handling any concerns raised that encourages guests to return.
Assist with valet parking, bike/ ski valet during peak seasons to support the wider team and enhance overall guest experience. A valid, full BC drivers licence is essential.
Please note that this list is not exhaustive, and you will be required to complete additional duties that ensure the Front Desk team, and wider business are successful in operations.

As our Front Desk provides 7-day coverage, you will be required to work a mixture of early, day and late shifts.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience working in a customer service setting, within a hospitality setting would be an asset. It is essential that the candidate possess excellent communication, organizational and time management skills to ensure that they excel in this role. We take great pride in the level of customer service that we provide for our guests, and we wish for our Front Desk Agents to do the same.

Salary/Wage

21.20-23.50
