Job Description

Responsible for developing and managing a dedicated team who assist in the effective turf operations of the golf course.

• Prepare and maintain annual budget for the maintenance and capital expenditures of the golf course, in accordance with the Society’s five year plan
• Plan and coordinate all maintenance and project work for the golf course and related buildings
• Train and oversee scheduling of turf maintenance staff
• Supervise the maintenance and repair of golf course equipment
• Participate in long term planning meetings and Board of Director meetings as required
• Perform other duties as directed by the Greens Committee and/or Board of Directors

Responsibilities & Qualifications

• A degree in turf management or certificate in turf management with related experience
• 5 years golf course maintenance experience
• Proven leadership, communication and human resources skills
• Knowledge of WHMIS and OH&S practises
• Pesticide Applicator certification – Pesticide certification and training – Province of British Columbia (gov.bc.ca)
• Valid driver’s License

Salary/Wage

70000.00 (negotiable)
