Trimark People Solutions, on behalf of our client, is recruiting for a full-time Sales and Business Development Representative. This is a remote position based in Vancouver, Edmonton, or Calgary.

POSITION SUMMARY
As a Sales and Business Development Representative, you will drive revenue growth by developing and executing effective sales strategies with your manager. You will handle an established sales portfolio, foster strong relationships with clients, and contribute to the overall success of our organization. Your experience within the sports, entertainment, and recreation sector is built on authentic foundations of trust and guest experience. Building on this sectoral experience.
We are looking for someone who has excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and a proven track record of success in sales combined with a strong desire to succeed. If you are a self-motivated individual with a passion for sales, we encourage you to apply.
Hours of Work: Monday through Friday, occasional evenings and weekends, 40 hours a week, flexible scheduling.
Travel: 20-30% of travel within BC is anticipated.
Location: Remote-hybrid options are available with an on-site presence in any of the TRAXX worksites, including Delta, Burnaby, Kamloops, or Kelowna.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Sales Strategy and Planning:
o Develop and implement sales plans to achieve revenue targets.
o Identify market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
o Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align sales efforts with business goals.
2. Team Leadership:
o Influence and motivate stakeholders to contribute to the team’s success.
o Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
o Build authentic, respectful, and trust-based relationships with internal team members and external stakeholders.
o Identify, develop and execute community engagement opportunities.
o Work proactively with buyers to understand their industry nuances and guest experience requirements.
3. Client Relationship Management:
o Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients.
o Understand and respect Diversity, Equity and Inclusion strategies and their integration within the role.
o Understand client requirements and tailor solutions to meet their needs.
o Negotiate contracts and close deals.
o Follow up with clients, whether in person or via video conference.
o Identify client needs and suggest appropriate services
o Set up meetings or calls between (prospective) clients and AMR’s
o Managing leads by setting appointments, following up on leads, and tracking progress toward meeting sales goals
o Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with clients.
4. Business Development:
o Identify new business opportunities and expand our customer base.
o Contact potential clients through cold calls and emails
o Present TRAXX to potential clients
o Build long-term trusting relationships with clients
o Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market
o Attend industry events and networking functions.
o Collaborate with local schools and universities for opportunities.
o Collaborate with marketing to create effective promotional materials.
o Excellent analytical skills in analyzing data and market trends to identify business opportunities.
o Identifying potential customers and generating new business opportunities for the company
5. Sales Reporting and Analysis:
o Track sales metrics, analyze performance, and adjust strategies as needed.
o Prepare regular reports for management.
o Report to the Director of Business or equivalent (daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly) sales results
o Customize solutions to increase customer satisfaction.
o Ensures alignment with overall sales strategies
REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS:
• Hands-on experience with multiple sales techniques (including cold calls)
• Strong Organizational and time management abilities
• Goal Oriented mindset with a passion for exceeding targets
• Track record of achieving sales quotas
• Excellent communication (written and verbal) and negotiation skills
• Ability to deliver engaging presentations
• Understanding of sales performance metrics
• Proven experience in sales, preferably in the tourism and hospitality industry.
• 3-5 years of demonstrated industry experience.
• Class 5 driver’s license, with a clean driver’s abstract over the past 3 years.
• Multilingual skills are an asset.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Proven experience in sales, preferably in the tourism and hospitality industry.
• 3-5 years of demonstrated industry experience.
• Demonstrated experience using technology tools to track sales and customer information,
• Ability to inspire and motivate a sale to close.
• Excellent communication (written, verbal and presence) and negotiation abilities.
• Results-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving targets and developing client
• Class 5 driver’s license, with a clean driver’s abstract over the past 3 years.
Salary/Wage
$58,000
