Job Description
We are seeking a Sales & Marketing Assistant to join our team! Are you an aspiring marketing professional looking to gain hands-on experience in everything from social media campaigns to event logistics and designing marketing collateral? Our Sales & Marketing Assistant works on marketing to support all Sea Cider’s sales channels, helping to drive revenue and meet Sea Cider’s financial targets. Work covers a range of activities:
Sales: Assist with plans to increase retail sales, including online sales, Cider club Sales and on-site direct to consumer sales. Assist customers with their purchases, answering questions and completing transactions.
Marketing: Conduct a range of marketing activities, from acting as a Sea Cider brand ambassador “at large” to providing targeted marketing support in several specific areas:
Develop/update Sea Cider’s marketing collateral
Web marketing (general website updates)
Social Media (planning posts, creating content)
Public Relations (conducting tours)
Media (drafting press releases)
Experiential Marketing (help execute experiences such as Festivals, Markets, and Pop-Ups)
This person reports to our Manager of Sales, Marketing & Business Development. Performance is measured against revenue, engagement and productivity metrics.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
About You
You are an aspiring marketing professional interested in the diversity and growth that this role offers. As a recent graduate, you have a blend of analytical, creative and organizational skills and are keen to gain experience. In addition you have:
Education: Serving It Right required; Food Safe an asset. Post secondary degree or diploma in marketing, communications, sales or related field required
Vocational experience: at least three years of marketing experience required, with technical experience in Google Ads, Facebook Ads and other digital advertising tools, ad copywriting, SEO, web design and Content Management Systems, social media management and analytics, email marketing and automation, and graphic design. Sales experience is also preferred.
Industry experience: Experience in hospitality or retail & consumer goods preferred.
Communication skills: excellent written and verbal communication skills, a gift for diplomacy, and a proven track record in problem solving, resolving customer complaints successfully, and avoiding complaints in the first place!
Technology & equipment: Highly proficiency using common industry software, and an eagerness to learn new programs and upgrade systems.
Personal aptitude: a high degree of professionalism and personal accountability for achieving targets. Curiosity, great listening skills, a gift for collaboration and an openness to feedback. A willingness to “roll up your sleeves” to get the job done and collaborate with colleagues. An interest in learning about cider!
Work week available: Able to work full time hours year round, 9am to 5pm, with two days/week off.
Physical requirements: Able to lift up to 25 kg several times daily (cases of cider, for example) and to work walking and standing up for hours at a time (eg. at festivals).

Salary/Wage
$45K to $50K, based on a salary plus a sales commission
