Job Description

As a Splitz Grill, Grill Cook you work as a team, executing daily services and
preparations for the day. You will be responsible to holding down the flow of
grilled dishes coming out of the kitchen. Being as though the majority of items
are grilled- this position come with a lot of speed and accuracy expectations.
Importantly producing TASTY and good looking food is paramount of your
role Being in the open kitchen, your attitude sets the tone for the whole
restaurant; you may be the most important interaction that a customer has
with our operation.
An excellent Grill cook must be able to follow instructions in cooking and
delivering well-prepared meals. They must be quick and accurate in moving
around the kitchen and able to multi-task.
The goal is to help our staff & guests have a fantastic SPLITZ experience.
This Job requires your have your Food safety 101 certificate and ad head to all
dress and uniform requirements.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

The Grill Cook’s Responsibilities & Duties:
• Ensuring food safety practices are upheld at all times
• Open and close the kitchen daily.
• Ordering or communicating the need to order all items necessary to
make the kitchen function
• Ensuring weekly cleaning duties are being completed
• Assist in developing procedures for smoother operations.
• Participate in meetings as required
• Lead the team with genuine care. Support each individuals development
with personal connection.
• Communicate clearly with managers and peers and customers.
• Must be able to make quick decisions benefiting the customer and Splitz
Grill.
• Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 40 pounds.
• Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8
hours).
• Understand and execution of all recipes & processes.
• Grill training
• Quality and sufficient food preparation- looking ahead, and being
proactive with sauces, specialty meats etc.
• Ensuing execution of service is to a high quality at all times
• Supervising whole restaurant operations
• Holding team accountable for consistencies
• Always aware of safety and legality issues.
• Rectifying and remedying as appropriate
