Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Bookkeeper to join our Residential Property & Hotel Management Companies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and bookkeeping. This role involves managing financial data, ensuring accuracy in accounts, preparing and reviewing month-end financial reports and liaising with vendors, banks property managers and reporting directly with the business directors. The Senior Bookkeeper will play a crucial role in managing the flow of data, filings and reports of all company
divisions.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Responsibilities
 Manage the day-to-day bookkeeping for a group of businesses
 Record daily sales and expenses
 Perform bank and credit card account reconciliations
 Month-end review of business reports (Balance Sheet and Profit and Loss) to identify discrepancies and resolve issues
 Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks or other accounting software
 Collaborate with other staff divisions- to provide bookkeeping data
 Generate financial reports for review and decision making.
 Prepare month end and year-end data for external accountants of each business
 Prepare account payables and account receivables.

Requirements
 Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role.
 Experience with bookkeeping in the following industries – retail (POS/tender
reconciling), hotels, apartment rentals.
 Proficiency in accounting software
 Knowledge of Yardi and Innsource PMS system required.
 Understanding of how to record payroll entries into accounting software.
 Experience with budgeting and account reconciliation processes.
 Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
 Aptitude for learning new programs and software.
 Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
 Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data.
 Willingness to investigate discrepancies.
 Training, Certification in Accounting is a plus but not required.
