JOB POSTING YVRDL 001: Dockhand Lead

LOCATION: Seaplane Terminal, Richmond/YVR

SHIFT: 10-hour shifts and schedule will vary depending on operational requirements

TERM: Full Time, Permanent

WAGE: $25.00 – $30.00 /hr

WHO WE ARE:
Seair Seaplanes has been in operation for over 40 years and has 12 aircraft, providing scheduled service, scenic tours and charters throughout southern B.C.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Managing dock crew
o Training & managing dock crew at all company bases
o Hiring & scheduling for YVR dockhands
o Securing and releasing aircraft from the dock
o Baggage and cargo handling
o Loading/unloading aircraft
o Setting standards of measurement of cleanliness of aircraft interior and exterior
o Fueling aircraft
o Meeting and greeting passengers
o Escorting passengers to/from aircraft
• Maintenance & upkeep for all company base facilities
o Daily & long-term projects
o Inventory of groundcrew equipment
o Fuel tank management, including logs and inspections
• Communicating effectively with team members
• Upholding company safety practices and standards

Responsibilities & Qualifications

We are seeking a mature, trustworthy individual to join our team. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical abilities and general maintenance experience, preferably in aviation or marine settings, and a background in supervisory or management roles. This role requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment, and work both independently and collaboratively.
