Job Description
Prestige Rocky Mountain Resort in Cranbrook, BC is looking for a permanent full-time Guest Services Coordinator.
The Guest Services Coordinator is responsible for assisting the General Manager with any assigned aspects of Resort Operations. They provide leadership for all of the Guest Services Agents, including Night Auditors and Bell-persons, and the services that they provide. The Guest Services Coordinator is also expected to undertake all of the duties, skills, and attitudes expected of Guest Services Agents.

Responsibilities & Qualifications
What does an ideal candidate look like?
– Excellent communication and customer service skills
– Front desk experience is an asset
– Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
Duties & Responsibilities
– Interact effectively with resort guests and co-workers to create a positive experience
– Monitor, respond, and process guests’ online feedback of hotel
– Handle guest registration and room assignments; accommodating special requests whenever possible in a timely manner
– Process group arrivals and departures
– Take, cancel, and change room reservations
– Answer all incoming phone calls in a professional manner
– Ensure privacy of guests
– Provide information on resort facilities and services with hours of operation
- Share general information on points of interest in the area and services in the community
– Process guest departures, calculate charges, and receive payment
- Understand basic accounting principles, including debit and credit transactions
- Complete the daily Front Desk duty sheet
– Provide supervision of Guest Service Agents (in the absence of General Manager, Assistant GM, or Guest Services Supervisor)
- Assist with training of Guest Service Agents
– Oversee all reservations, groups, proposals, and revenue management tasks as directed by the General Manager
– Monitor procedures and processes to maximize of revenues and control of expenses
- Assist the General Manager with Accounts Receivable, including company credit applications, invoicing, and collections
– Act as a concierge at front desk for VIP guests
– Complete other duties as assigned by the General Manager
Salary/Wage
$19 - $22 per hour
