Job Description

Fresh Start Health Retreat is a premier wellness destination dedicated to promoting holistic health through nourishing cuisine, mindfulness, and rejuvenating experiences. Our retreat offers guests a serene escape with plant-based, organic, and thoughtfully prepared meals that align with our mission of wellness and sustainability.

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Part-Time Cook to join our culinary team. If you have a love for healthy, wholesome cooking and thrive in a tranquil, guest-focused environment, we’d love to hear from you! This position is best suited for local candidates who live within a 1 hours drive. It is not a camp or destination job and we do not supply accommodation. Please review our unique offering of 3 weeks on and three weeks off schedule. During the weeks that we have guests, you will be working 30-35+ hours based on the number of guests we have.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Responsibilities:
– Prepare nutritious, plant-based meals in alignment with our wellness philosophy.
– Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen workspace.
– Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are met at all times.
– Collaborate with the culinary team to deliver exceptional dining experiences for guests.
-Willing to train to conduct Food Demo’s for our guests
– Adapt to dietary restrictions and preferences (e.g., gluten-free, vegan, keto).

Requirements:
– Previous experience in a commercial kitchen (wellness retreat, restaurant, or similar). Due to the specific meals we prepare we are willing to train the right candidate
-Demonstrate that you are able to work independently to prepare and plate meals
– Passion for health-conscious, plant-forward cooking.
– Knowledge of nutrition and dietary trends is a plus.
– Ability to work in a fast-paced yet mindful environment.
– Food Safe Certification (or willingness to obtain).
– Flexible schedule, including weekends as needed.
