About Us

From it’s humble beginnings as the Swift Creek Roadhouse in the early 1900s the Valemount Hotel has grown into a favorite among locals and visitors alike. Rebuilt in 1951 it has become a familiar sight for those travelling by rail through our “Valley in the Mountains.” Valemount is surrounded by three mountain ranges, the Rockies to the northeast, the Cariboos to the west and the Monashees to the south providing spectacular scenery as well as great outdoor activities for all seasons.

Our cozy 14-room hotel has a nostalgic feel with comfortable, well-appointed rooms.  Once you’ve checked in, kick back and relax for a drink at the Log and Rail Bar, located on the main floor.

We are located on Yellowhead Highway #5, nestled in the heart of the Robson Valley between the Rocky, the Monashee and the Cariboo Mountain ranges. We are located approximately one hour west of Jasper, 3.5 hours north of Kamloops, and three hours southeast of Prince George.
