About Us

We are a family run, long time business on Vancouver Island located 2 hours from the West Coast of Vancouver Island and 35minutes north of Nanaimo.  Since 1971 we have had a “trip” of goats residing on our sod roof. These goats have been photographed by millions of tourists and locals year after year.  They are still quite camera shy after all these years!!

We have become known as one of the most popular tourist destinations on Vancouver Island.  We have lots to offer our passersby.  On our 25 acre property we have our world famous market (with the goats). Under this roof we offer international foods, gift selections from around the world, a deli offering local and international meats and cheeses, a bakery with scratch made breads and decadent treats, a cafe style family restaurant and our “infamous” ice cream parlour featuring generous scoops of ice cream.  Just up from the Market, we also have WabiSabi, our surf shop.  Featuring all the latest fashion in surf wear as well as all the necessary gear for some of the worlds best surfing (just a couple of hours away!!).  Next to WabiSabi is “Our” root cellar, the produce market that started it all.  Tucked in behind the root cellar is Zolena’s boutique.  Last but not least we have our newest addition…Cuckoo Trattoria and Pizzeria.  An authentic Italian style Villa where you will taste some of the best wood-fired pizzas and freshest hand made pastas…
