MITACS is Canada’s leading not-for-profit organization dedicated to high-quality research that brings innovative research solutions to industrial problems. The MITACS mandate covers the mathematical sciences as well as science and engineering, health sciences, and the social sciences. MITACS is renowned for its ability to identify emerging economic and social issues, to bring together a team of academic scientists with their industrial counterparts, to manage the research process, and to deploy leading-edge technology. MITACS collaborates closely with over 600 scientists at its 88 partner universities and with more than 500 companies across Canada. MITACS has launched a number of programs that support recruitment, training and retention of graduate students and post doctoral fellows in Canada; and provide opportunities to do research with industry partners.
