Family-owned and operated in the Okanagan Valley for over 23 years, Planet Bee offers visitors the chance to discover and experience the amazing world of the honeybee.

Our primary mission at Planet Bee is to educate and inspire our visitors by sharing our passion for the honeybee and their contribution to the planet. Learn at your leisure in our observatory room or sign-up for one of our guided educational presentations (paused during COVID-19 pandemic).

Browse our gift shop at your leisure and discover the many treasures of the hive. Complimentary samples include our 23 varieties of honey (paused during COVID-19 pandemic), various all-natural body care products, and of course our Honeymoon Mead.

In addition to our educational offerings, we craft Honeymoon Mead on-site and offer tastings as well as many flavours for visitors to choose from.  Every batch of handcrafted Honeymoon Mead, an alcoholic drink made from honey, begins with the fermentation of local B.C. honey and water.  Additions such as fruit and spice can further enhance the flavour of the chosen honey.

Open year round, our staff are most highly commended for their friendly, knowledgable nature and we consistently achieve Trip Advisor’s Certificate of Excellence, 5 star reviews, as well as obtaining Green Tourism Silver accreditation in 2020, and becoming Biosphere Committed in 2019.
