About Us

Windermere House is a seasonal resort open from May to October each year.  We are located three (3) hours north of Toronto in the Village of Windermere on Lake Rosseau, in the District of Muskoka.  We are approximately thirty (30) minutes from the town of Bracebridge and Huntsville. We have a four-star rating with CAA.

Facilities:  Windermere House offers fifty-six (56) rooms and suites in the main building. We have one 4-bedroom cottage called Windermere Cottage.  We operate the following outlets: The Lobby Bar, Rosseau Grill, Sushi Restaurant, the Windermere Pub N’ Patio and the verandah overlooking Lake Rosseau. We also cater to conference groups and weddings receptions in conjunction with our partner Treeline Catering.

We have a full-service spa operated by a third party on site located on the 3rd floor of the main hotel.

On-site Activities:  Fitness center, public sandy beach, heated outdoor pool, outdoor tennis, horseshoes, basketball, shuffleboard, badminton, bikes, yoga classes, paddleboats, kayaks and canoes are available for our guests free of charge from the marina.

Marina:  Woodland Marina is located at the foot of the hotel on Lake Rosseau and his operated independently. It offers boat rentals and water-sports (extra charges apply). 

Golf:  Windermere Golf and Country Club is an eighteen (18) hole Golf Course. This semi private club is owned by its members. Hotel guests and staff are able to attain special golf rates.
