Certificate of Recognition (COR) Program
The Certificate of Recognition (COR) program is a certification and incentive program that rewards employers who go above and beyond the legal requirements of the Workers Compensation Act and Occupational Health and Safety Regulation. COR certified employers can receive an annual financial incentive of up to 10% of their WorkSafeBC premiums.
The COR program is available to large employers (20 or more full-time equivalent employees). Fewer than 20 employees? Check out the Small Employer Certificate of Recognition (SECOR) program here.

Registering your business with the Certificate of Recognition (COR) Program makes a strong statement as an employer about how much you value your workers while providing you with up to 10% off your base WorkSafeBC premiums.

Small employers are eligible to participate in SECOR, a version of COR specifically designed for businesses with fewer than 20 employees. SECOR offers similar benefits that large businesses enjoy, but with a slightly different process and audit tool that takes into account the size of the operation in order to increase small employers’ success.
Employers who successfully achieve the SECOR certification are eligible to receive an annual financial incentive equating to the lesser of $1000 or 75% of their annual WorkSafeBC premiums. Most importantly, through SECOR small employers will develop a safety management program that keeps their employees safe, helps with recruitment and retention, and minimizes the potential costs of workplace accidents and injuries.
