Job Description

Cycle City Tours was founded from a love for touring Vancouver by bike, and a belief that bike rides are always better when shared with friends. Since 2010 we’ve been sharing stories, laughs, and new experiences with riders from Vancouver and across the world. Through our guided tours, we tell captivating stories about what’s really going on in the city beyond the glimmering glass towers and incredible coastal and mountain views (though we never get tired of showing off our beautiful city!) All of our staff are passionate, connected Vancouverites who have a love for bike riding, telling stories, and meeting new people.
What we’re looking for:
Vancouver Enthusiast: You love Vancouver and are always curious about the latest trends in food, current events, and culture. You have lived in Vancouver for at least 3 years and are eager to share your knowledge of the city with others.
Storyteller Extraordinaire: Whether it’s through your natural charisma or theatrical experience, you can captivate an audience and keep them engaged with your storytelling.
Outdoor or Urban Guide Experience: Previous experience in guiding, whether in an urban or outdoor setting, is beneficial, but not mandatory.
Guest Service Focused: You have a passion for providing excellent guest service! Ability to engage with people of all ages and abilities, in all types of weather.
Punctual & Reliable: You show up on time, ready to work, and bring a positive attitude every day.
Proactive Learner: You have a willingness to learn new skills, are proactive in your approach to work, and enjoy working independently.
Flexible Schedule: You are available to work weekdays, weekends, evenings, and holidays throughout the busy season, especially from May to August.
Multilingual: Fluency in English is a must. If you speak French, Spanish, German, or any other languages, that’s an added bonus!
Bike Maintenance Skills: You have basic bike maintenance skills and are comfortable lifting up to 30lbs repeatedly.
What kind of guides are we looking for?
