Job Summary
We are looking for a detailed, confident, and enthusiastic individual to drive public relations and content for Grouse Mountain. You will be the primary spokesperson for Grouse Mountain, closely interacting with senior management as you develop and manage all aspects of our public relations and our content strategy. You are passionate about all that our beautiful mountaintop environment has to offer and will take great pride in showcasing Grouse Mountain to a variety of external and internal audiences.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Key Responsibilities:
-Devise and implement corporate public relations strategies to support proactive and reactive situations
-Prepare and issue media releases, story starters, external communications & internal communications
-Collaborate with executive leadership team to manage the organization’s response to crises
-Develop communication and social media/content strategies
-Act as primary spokesperson and liaison for print, electronic, broadcast, and news media
-Track all media coverage and social media analytics and prepares monthly summary reports
-Lead on ongoing copywriting, proofing and editing of corporate documents
-Maintain effective internal communications to ensure that all relevant company functions are kept informed of marketing and communication objectives
-Manage Social Media Coordinator and Content Creator
-Posting on social media when necessary
-Working with DMOs to ensure Grouse Mountain remains a priority and relevant in promotional assets
-Hosting, coordinating and producing internal and external video/photoshoots
-Post and monitor social media channels. This could include capturing or coordinating photos, videos, graphics, Instagram and more
-Other duties as directed

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
-Post-secondary background in communications/digital marketing/media relations/journalism or other
-Minimum 5 years’ experience in related field, preferably in a management capacity
-Experience as media spokesperson preferred
-Exceptional grasp of the English language and excellent written communication skills that provide the ability to tailor writing style to appropriately match audience and brand voice
-Outstanding public speaking skills
-Ability to work flexible hours/on-call
-Considerable experience with social media channels and back end analytic and posting tools
-Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
-Ability to network and build strong internal and external relationships
-Superior attention to detail
-Ability to think and act strategically
-Capacity to work under pressure while delivering content to align with the Grouse Mountain brand
-Passionate about an active outdoor lifestyle including snow sports, hiking and mountain biking.

Salary/Wage

75,000-90,000/year
