Job Description
The cook is responsible for all kitchen operation, including maintaining food cost target
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Prepare and cook food, manage and plan the operation of the kitchen
• Maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen
• Create an effective menu
• Purchase food, food inventory, supplies, and equipment through consistent monitoring of inventory levels
• Achieve food cost of 30 %
• Communicate effectively with all staff and guests
• Comply with all company policies and procedures as outlined
• Other duties as assigned
Responsibilities & Qualifications
Skills and Qualifications:
• Legally able to work in Canada In case of work permit, the expiry date should be presented
• Minimum 3 years cooking experience in a commercial kitchen
• Some knowledge of Japanese cuisine
• Valid Food Safe level 1 certificate
• Serving it Right
• Excellent Interpersonal skills
• Good understanding of food cost, health, and safety standards
• Flexible schedule availability, including evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays
• Ability to perform physical requirements to the position, including standing for 4 hours and lifting 20kg
